cFos Outlook DAV is a lightweight third-party Microsoft Outlook add-in designed to give Outlook native-like synchronization capabilities for CalDAV calendars and CardDAV contacts. Because Outlook does not natively support these open protocols, this plugin acts as a bridge to sync your data with cloud services like Google, Nextcloud, ownCloud, and Synology. Step 1: Install the Add-in Close your Microsoft Outlook application completely.
Download the official installer from the cFos Outlook DAV Download Page. Run the installer file and complete the setup wizard. Reopen Microsoft Outlook. Step 2: Configure Calendar Synchronization (CalDAV) Open your Calendar View in Outlook.
Right-click on the specific calendar folder you want to sync (or create a new calendar folder first).
Select Enable CalDAV Sync or Config CalDAV Sync from the context menu. Fill in your server details in the configuration window:
Folder URL: Paste your specific cloud calendar URL (e.g., https://google.com). User name: Your cloud service account email or username.
Password: Your account password or an app-specific password if 2FA is active.
Server Type: Select your provider from the dropdown menu (e.g., Google, Baïkal, ownCloud).
Choose your preferred synchronization interval (e.g., every 15 minutes).
Click Save and then trigger a manual sync to test the connection. Step 3: Configure Contacts Synchronization (CardDAV) Switch to the People / Contacts View inside Outlook.
Right-click on the contacts folder you intend to sync with your cloud address book. Click Enable CardDAV Sync or Config CardDAV Sync.
Enter the required information exactly as you did for the calendar:
Input your specific CardDAV Folder URL provided by your host. Input your Username and Password. Select your corresponding Server Type. Set your sync timing interval and save the changes. Quick Configuration Tips
Task Sync: Tasks use the exact same process. Right-click a Task folder and configure it using your CalDAV URL and credentials. (Note: Task synchronization is not supported via this tool for Google accounts).
Literal URLs: If the plugin fails to auto-detect your calendar location, you can force it to use the exact URL you typed by adding an asterisk * to the very beginning of the URL path (e.g., *http://example.com).
